Precision Measurement
Touchstone Measurement Services is a contract measuring service that
provides 100% precision measurement part inspection, per the customer’s requirements.
Since 1996, Delphi Electronic & Safety has certified Touchstone
Measurement Services as a metrology provider for their corporation and suppliers.

Fully Accredited Precision Measurement
Touchstone Measurement Services has been accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation since November 1999.

Precision Measurement: Computer-Controlled Accuracy to +/-.0002"
The primary tool used is the CMM, or Coordinate Measuring Machine. TMS uses
high-quality CNC/CMMs from Mitutoyo and Brown & Sharpe, leaders in precision measuring equipment.
- Vision System CMM - for non-contact measurements; applications include:
- Measurement of small, tight details (e.g. holes) which are
difficult to access with contact probes
- Measurement of fragile, soft, or easily moveable components
- Measurement of printed or deposited patterns
- Measurement of printed circuit boards
- Surface Roughness Testers - used primarily for stamped metal parts
- Touch Probe CMM's - used for most measurement applications,
from small switches to large transmission housings
Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) provides accurate measurements to
+/- .0002 inch.
We also utilize standard hand tools when appropriate, including:
- Calipers
- Micrometers
- Indicators
- Height gage
- Surface roughness tester
