Services (TMS) announces the addition of a
Brown & Sharpe Global Performance 5.7.5
Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to the company's existing advanced
measuring equipment line. The vertical CMM, which operates with
PC-DMIS, the world's
leading metrology software, is utilized for measuring high tolerance
parts and more sophisticated measurement tasks that require the assistance
of CAD (Computer Aided Design) models. The Global
Performance CMM can measure parts as large as 20" x 27" x 20"
in size.
PC-DMIS software has the ability to easily and seamless integrate with CAD data, which
eliminates the need for translation and maintains the original design intent
throughout the measurement process. PC-DMIS provides comprehensive measurement routines for all
types of parts, providing the versatility many companies need for a wide
variety of applications, designs, shapes, and sizes. Both Wilcox Associates,
developers of PC-DMIS, and Brown & Sharpe are divisions of
Hexagon Metrology, part of Hexagon Measurement Technologies.
